We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users. We aim to continually
improve the user experience and to provide a website that is accessible to the widest
possible audience, regardless of technology or ability.
We are committed to working towards meeting the accessibility requirements of the
Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility
Regulations 2018 and the Equality Act 2010, as applicable in the UK.
To improve the accessibility of our website, we are committed to:
– Engaging with accessibility specialists when making significant site updates.
– Regularly reviewing and updating website design and content
– Use accessible technologies and follow recognised best practices (e.g., WCAG)
– Provide and undertake ongoing training on accessibility.
We are aware that some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
– Colour contrast throughout the website makes portions of our site hard to read
and navigate for people with vision impairments.
– Images lack appropriate alternative text
– The skip to main content’ link does not work correctly
– Some of the language used on the website is too complicated
– The current appointment booking system does not function correctly
We are aware we are not yet WCAG 2.2 AA compliant. However, we have
commissioned an independent Access Audit. This site now has a limited lifespan. To
underscore our commitment to accessibility, we plan to implement the report’s findings
by replacing this website with a WCAG 2.2 AA compliant website during autumn/winter
2025.
